In Li v. CMR Kumra Medicine Professional Corporation, 2025 HRTO 399, the Tribunal found that an employer discriminated against a worker returning from maternity leave by altering her hours, reassigning her role, and contributing to a hostile work environment. While practicing at another firm, Nicole Biros-Bolton successfully represented the applicant, securing $43,359 in total compensation. This decision affirms the serious harm caused by pregnancy discrimination and reinforces the protections owed to pregnant workers and new parents.
